PROGRAMME

“Towards Abstraction” – creating small oil pastel forms
The workshop will be led by Krystyna Rakowska, a fine artist and member of the
Association of Polish Pastellists. The participants will be taught how to create oil pastel paintings and will take their pieces home with them.

Admission: The workshop is for individuals aged 16 and above, with a maximum of 6 participants per group.

“Acrylic Painting”

Painting sets (4-5) will be placed  in the workshop area in front of the entrance to the Gallery.  Each set will include an easel, palette, 2-3 brushes, and acrylic paints. The instructor will demonstrate how to mix appropriate colors on the palette, painting techniques, and other technical aspects. Then, passers-by will be encouraged to try painting themselves.

“Our Lublin” – Lublin in sepia – a painting demo and  workshop 

Wiesław Stefański, a renowned watercolor artist from Lublin, will lead a workshop that includes a demonstration of painting a fragment of our beautiful city. The class will start with a 30-minute demonstration, and each participant will create their own watercolor painting in sepia.

“Watercolour Bookmarks” – painting bookmarks with a plant motif

In the workshop, attendees will be taught watercolour painting techniques such as “wet on wet” and “wet on dry,” as well as how to apply colour evenly. These skills will be utilized to create a plant-themed bookmark that participants will take home with them.

“Mixed media in watercolour” – designing and painting greeting cards with plant motifs

The Mixed Media in Watercolour workshop is designed to introduce participants to various painting techniques using watercolours and other materials. Attendees will have the opportunity to become familiar with the effects of using natural ingredients like salt, alcohol, coffee, and juice, as well as other art materials such as charcoal, watercolour pencils, masking fluid, metal leaf, ink, and foil.  Each participant will use the techniques they have learned to create their own greeting cards featuring a plant motif
