Silent witnesses to centuries, the tenement houses of Lublin’s Old Town hold countless stories within their walls – tales of passing decades, diverse lives, and the grand sweep of history. But does memory truly reside within the stone? We believe the answer is yes: time and human presence undeniably leave their imprint on every corner of the city.

“Eyes in the wall” is a site-specific installation exploring the relationship between people and place. It starts with a single gaze, for sometimes, a simple moment of eye contact is all it takes to unlock a forgotten narrative.
