The installation presents a garbage bin filled with thrash in an unappealing area. Plastic flowers and other waste spill out of the bin, but small plants are sprouting amidst the debris. As the artificial flowers move away from the garbage, they transform into beautiful and vibrant vegetation. This project aims to draw attention to the deteriorating state of our environment. It also aims to highlight people’s inaction, the preference for artificial plants over live plants and the trivialisation of the problem. Despite numerous natural disasters such as fires, earthquakes, and floods, nature has the capacity and potential to regenerate under any circumstances. The question remains whether we, as a species, can handle catastrophe.
