The mural, embodying the festival’s theme, “City Neurons”, has been specially designed for this year’s festival by the remarkably talented and versatile Ecuadorian artist Pablo Caviedes.
About Pablo Caviedes:
Pablo Caviedes, born in 1971 in Cotacachi, Ecuador, embarked on his artistic journey under the tutelage of Daniel Reyes at the College of Plastic Arts in Ecuador. He further honed his skills at the esteemed École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris. Over the past two decades, Caviedes has showcased his artwork in a diverse array of cities worldwide, including Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Washington, D.C., and New York City, where he currently resides and creates.
Caviedes’ Accolades:
1994: Recipient of the prestigious “Paris Prize,” Ecuador’s most coveted artistic accolade.
1998: Selected among ten artists by a distinguished panel of national and international jurors to participate in the monumental exhibition “Latin America & the Caribbean: A New Generation of Artists.”
2002: Bestowed with an honorary distinction at the 2nd International Painting Biennial “Vilassar de Mar” in Barcelona.
2004: One of 25 artists selected through a competitive process to have their works featured in the group exhibition “Art in a Bottle” at Agora Gallery in Soho, New York City.
