Przywale – Polub Zieleń’s installation | a special production of Workshops of Culture
Szambelańska Street was formerly known as Przywale and has been called by its current name since the 1940s. The street was established in the early 19th century as a passage along the inner line of the former defensive walls, which gave it a curved shape. The northern section of the defensive walls extended from Krakowska Gate to the north, then turned east and ran along Kowalska Street to Grodzka Gate. Get ready to witness an exciting transformation on Night of Culture, as the entire street will be covered with a vibrant carpet of live grass.
