Lublin 2.0.2.5. Poem of the City – an interactive project inviting visitors to co-create a contemporary version of The Poem of the City of Lublin by Józef Czechowicz, a renowned poet with deep ties to our city. Step into the atmosphere of an interwar literary café, where words can be seen through eyes and felt through hands. This unique experience includes the chance to see and read the poem printed in Braille. It’s a space for sensory engagement, quiet reflection, or connection with others. Creatively transformed words, transferred onto paper, will form a monumental book — which, once digitized, will also be readable through sound.

L-mentary Poetry
A celebration of experimental verse inspired by the most iconic letter in Lublin — L. (And yes, it’s also the fourth one.)
Every hour, fresh limited-edition booklets will be handed out, packed with quirky graphic-text combos and QR codes linking to visual and audio works by Piotr Szerniawski (Pszren), created especially for Night of Culture.
Expect pixelated blurs, asemic scrawls, one-letter poems, one-word lines, and other delightfully strange ways to twist language.
The highlight of the night? A live presentation of the sound poem L-mentary Poetry by Piotr Szreniawski, at 20.00. Come hear what a single letter can become when it breaks free.

Where poetry waits in quiet corners, and sometimes leaps out to meet you.
We are a collective of poetry enthusiasts, best known for our signature poem frames—small, handwritten verses appearing in surprising public spaces across Poland. Our project creates a bridge between these visible outdoor actions and engaging online spaces, fostering community through social media profiles and virtual poetry evenings open to all.
Our mission is simple: to set poetry free — to break it out of books and textbooks and let everyone discover a verse that speaks to them.
We support emerging poets by featuring their work in our frames, online, and during our digital gatherings.
We seek to connect with fellow poetry lovers and, especially, to encourage those poets nurturing verses in private, unsure where to begin.
During Night of Culture, we are curating and distributing a special collection of gathered poems—available both in print and on our website—spotlighting diverse voices from Lublin’s vibrant poetry scene.
