This year\u2019s edition of Night of Culture (June 6\/7, the Old Town) will once again move to the rhythm of hip-hop. The star of the rap stage will be Kosma Kr\u00f3l, while Vin Vinci, Late Night Poems, the Dobre Flow crew, as well as young rappers from Lublin, will also perform. A new addition this year will be a freestyle battle, at the end of which one participant will earn the title of Pearl of the Night and take home a prize of 3,000 PLN.<\/p>\n
This time, the Rap Stage will be located at Browar Per\u0142a and will be filled with diverse sounds \u2014 from classic rap and freestyle, through experimental forms, to inspirations drawn from jazz, soul, and spoken word. Traditionally, the first performers on stage will be representatives of the younger generation \u2014 winners of the Young Rap competition organized by the Workshops of Culture. Their appearance at Night of Culture 2026 may become a turning point in their careers. For most of them, it will be their first concert in front of such a large audience. Performing artists will include Bednar, Cuba Jay, Milky.wav, M\u0142ody Cud, M02M, RaV, Wencik, and Wktr & Raby.<\/p>\n
After them, the stage will be taken over by the Dobre Flow collective, made up of four groups \u2014 Hope 4 Street, NePalTyle, Lament, and Vera Icon. Their story is one of a journey from Prague\u2019s housing estate courtyards to the stage, from marginalization and exclusion to co-creating culture and social initiatives, as well as from loneliness in times of crisis to building a community of independent and open-minded people. The next act, Late Night Poems, is an acoustic quartet combining jazz with spoken poetry. The group consists of leading Polish jazz musicians and has released the critically acclaimed album \u201cOstatni Dzie\u0144 Lata.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the night of June 6\u20137, the audience will also party to tracks by Vin Vinci. The rapper from Lublin blends street-style rap with melodic choruses and has already attracted 178,000 followers to the Vandal Vibe channel, which he founded, thanks to his honest and uncompromising message. Over the last year, his tracks have been streamed nearly 14 million times. Vin Vinci has earned gold records for the albums \u201cDokument to\u017csamo\u015bci\u201d and \u201cVirtus.\u201d<\/p>\n
One of the highlights of this year\u2019s Night of Culture will be a concert by Kosma Kr\u00f3l \u2014 one of the most exciting young voices on Warsaw\u2019s hip-hop scene. His musical passion is rooted in freestyle, which he has been practicing for over five years. In February 2025, in collaboration with producer Kania, he released his first full-length album titled \u201cPolot.\u201d The album earned him a nomination for the Fryderyk Award in the \u201cDebut of the Year\u201d category. Earlier, he had already won Popkillers awards in the \u201cProgress of the Year\u201d and \u201cAlternative Album of the Year\u201d categories. The artist has already performed at major festivals such as Open\u2019er Festival and BitterSweet Festival, and also took part in the Hidden Gems tour.<\/p>\n
At the end of the night, the audience will dance to a mix of hip-hop, funk, soul, and pop presented by Kamil Dankiewicz together with DJ Prosper \u2014 Lekka Strona Ci\u0119\u017caru.<\/p>\n
A new feature this year will be a second stage located in the metal hall at the Browar Per\u0142a grounds. This is where the freestyle battle will take place, featuring six MCs selected during the May qualifiers (applications are open until May 28). They will compete for the title of Pearl of the Night and a special prize funded by the sponsor of Night of Culture \u2014 Per\u0142a \u2013 Browary Lubelskie S.A. \u2014 worth 3,000 PLN. The freestyle competition will be judged by Barti (Bart\u0142omiej Pierepienko), co-founder of the Lublin Rap Battles, Kot (Mateusz Koci\u0119cki) from the old-school freestyle scene, and Siostra Rybsona (Klaudia Rybaczewska), who has been deeply connected with the freestyle community for years. The battles will be hosted by Koro (Kornel Regel), a long-time dominant figure in freestyle competitions across Poland.<\/p>\n
The Rap Stage and the Battle for the Pearl of the Night freestyle competition are not the only attractions taking place at the brewery during Night of Culture at Bernardy\u0144ska 18. As always, there will also be an open-air cinema, guided tours of the underground cellars, and visits to the historic brewhouse.<\/p>\n
Night of Culture consists of hundreds of free artistic events scattered across Lublin\u2019s public spaces. For seven hours, the city is packed with concerts, light installations, and spectacles that defy definition. You can smell the gateways, stroke \u201cfurry\u201d walls, and peek through keyholes into fantastic worlds.<\/p>\n
