Forget everything you thought you knew about the monsters hiding under the bed. In this charming installation, Karolina Borzęcka breathes new life into forgotten fabrics to prove that the things in the shadows are actually quite sweet.

These plush creatures are “upcycled” from materials that were once lost in the depths of a closet—old shirts, pillowcases, and trousers. By transforming discarded textiles into whimsical characters, the artist gives each creature a distinct personality and a second life. It’s a playful celebration of sustainability and imagination, inviting viewers to meet the friendly side of their childhood fears.
