Tracing the Front: July 1944 | An Archaeological Walk | REGISTRATION
About
Archaeology isn’t just about ancient civilizations—it is a vital tool for uncovering the recent past. This unique walk explores the tangible traces of the battles fought in Lublin during World War II.
Led by researchers documenting the events of July 1944, the tour highlights how modern excavations reveal details of history that written records often miss. By combining physical archaeological finds with original eyewitness accounts recorded by the Oral History Studio, we will map the dramatic events of the 1944 front directly onto the modern city landscape.
