Night of Culture 2026 | Freestyle battle – the prizes are the “Pearl of the Night” title and 3,000 PLN
About the event
The moment all lovers of freestyle battles have been waiting for is coming. During the Night of Culture, one of the stages at the Perła Brewery will turn into the arena of a final showdown, where six of the best MCs will compete for the title of “Pearl of the Night” and a cash prize of 3,000 PLN. The event will be part of “Night at the Brewery.”
This is the final stage of the competition. Four artists who advanced through earlier elimination rounds have qualified for the final, along with two wildcard entrants. At the start of the battle, participants will be divided into two groups of three. It is within these groups that freestyle battles will take place, where improvisation, quick thinking, and the ability to respond to an opponent’s lyrics will matter most. From each group, two people will advance to the next stage. The four semifinalists selected in this way will face off in direct battles. The stakes will be a place in the final showdown and a chance to fight for first place in the entire tournament.
The competitors will be judged by a jury composed of:
Barti
Bartłomiej Pierepienko
Co-founder of LBN (Lublin Rap Battles). He has many years of experience in organizing rap battles and has made a significant contribution to the development of the local freestyle scene.
Kot
Mateusz Kocięcki
He represents the old school of MCs. Although his peak battle days are behind him, he has written his name in bold letters in the history of Lublin hip-hop, once wreaking havoc in battles not only with rhymes, but also with dance. His achievements include reaching the finals of WBW (the Great Warsaw Battle) twice.
Siostra Rybsona
Klaudia Rybaczewska
Before the creation of the Bitwer portal, the entire Polish freestyle community drew information about the progress and results of freestyle battles from her. From the biggest events to small local clashes, she knows this scene like few others, and in addition, her verdicts bring a female perspective to the judging of battles.
The winner will receive the title “Pearl of the Night” and a cash prize of 3,000 PLN. The prize is funded by the event’s title sponsor – Perła – Browary Lubelskie S.A. The competition will start at 9:00 p.m., last an hour and a half, and will be open to the public.
The event will be hosted by Koro (Kornel Regel). He is one of the most famous names in Polish freestyle. He completely dominated the scene for several years, and there is probably no city in Poland that he hasn’t conquered with his rhymes. A true GOAT of the discipline.
About the Rap Stage during the Night of Culture
The freestyle battle will be part of “Night at the Brewery” and will be included in the Rap Stage lineup. For a few hours, this concert space will be filled with a wide range of sounds – from classic rap and freestyle, through experimental forms, to influences of jazz, soul, and spoken word. A concert by Kosma Król will be the highlight of the event – one of the most interesting young voices on the Warsaw hip-hop scene. In addition, the Lublin audience will see performances by the winners of the “Young Rap” competition (Bednar, Cuba Jay, Milky.wav, Młody Cud, M02M, RaV, Wencik, as well as Wktr & Raby), the Dobre Flow collective, the band Late Night Poems, and Vin Vinci. At the end, the audience will dance to music provided by Lekka Strona Ciężaru.
About Night of Culture
Night of Culture consists of hundreds of free artistic events scattered across Lublin’s public spaces. Thousands of smiling people are walking through the streets in search of unforgettable experiences. It is the only night of the year when the impossible becomes possible.
The city is packed with concerts, light installations, performances, shows, workshops, and many other events that defy easy definition. Participants can experience a concentrated package of adventures and cultural impressions packed into seven hours. It is entirely up to them whether they’ll spend the night at wild concerts and performances or more intimate literary meetings.
Through installations in public space, the Night of Culture transforms entire streets beyond recognition. It is a time when you can smell gateways, stroke furry walls, or peek through keyholes into fantastical worlds. Before going out, it is essential to fully charge your camera battery.
For the 20th time, we invite you on this endemic spacerum profanum through Lublin’s Old Town.
It’s going to be a good night.
